James Rojas + Ligne Roset: How Latino values will transform American Houses

James Rojas is an urban planner, community activist, and artist. He is national leader in using art as a community engagement tool for underrepresented communities. He has facilitated over 350 interactive workshops and created over 43 interactive urban diorama across the US, Mexico and Canada. He holds a Master of City Planning and a Master of Science of Architecture Studies from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His influential thesis on the Latino built environment has been widely cited. Mr. Rojas founded the Latino Urban Forum (LUF), a volunteer advocacy group, dedicated to understanding and improving the built environment of Los Angeles’ Latino communities.

The opening night for LiA's Perspectivas 2014 opening was a great success. The exhibition showcases a great range of local Hispanic professionals in architecture, interior design, photography, art and education. The projects portraits different aspects of San Francisco living and urban planning, and demonstrates the diversity and quality of work we have in the Bay Area.
