PERSPECTIVAS 2015

AIASF’s LiA presents “Perspectivas 2015: Playing with Urban Fabric,” an exhibition which aims to showcase the work and talent of architects, urban planners, interior designers, artists, and related fields practicing in the San Francisco Bay Area. The body of work not only addresses and defines PLAY within an architectural context, but also how PLAY can be integrated into the urban fabric, such us public spaces or objects that can bring the concept of Play to the viewer or spectator.

LECTURE
Roland Rael presents: "Borderwall As Architecture"
A book to be published by The University of California Press is 2016, documents how water, renewable energy, and urban social infrastructure are important considerations ommitted from the design for the border wall and through the presentations of the wall's shortcomings, the book challenges the very existence of the wall in its conception, function, and future. The book is also a protest against the wall—a protest that employs the tools of the discipline of architecture manifest as a series of designs that challenge the intrinsic architectural element of a wall charged by its political context.
